What is the first thing people do when handed a rose bloom? They smell it! Fragrance in roses of all types has always been important to us. Louise and I have visited many rose gardens and nurseries in England, Europe and America in our quest for roses. In our travels we have found only a few of what I would term extremely fragrant Hybrid Tea roses. We have imported and evaluated many hybrid teas for fragrance and many that European catalogs listed as fragrant did not pass our selection criteria. I feel that only about one hybrid tea variety in 100 is truly fragrant. And tests have proven that virus-free roses produce 20% more blooms than virused roses. We offer you the following selection of the world's most fragrant hybrid tea roses with even more blooms. Hardy zones 5-10.
