Golden Celebration ®

Type: David Austin

Very large, deeply cupped flowers of approximately 3" across. The color is quite unusually deep and rich golden-yellow and exceptionally fragrant. These magnificent flowers (petals 55-75) are held on a very good repeat blooming shrub of ideal rounded habit of growth. The foliage is a dark glossy green that shows them off to perfection. Makes a good hedge.

Great roses!!! I've ordered a lot from all over. Wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised when they came, and on time! They all had buds on them. They are beautiful roses. Golden Celebration has the best scent. I would recommend to everyone to buy your roses from here. I'm going to do all my order all my ordering from here. (Posted on 6/18/2017)
Love this roseReview by Christine

Love the cheerful vibrant color, pretty rosette shape, lots of petals, rose is a medium size, and smell like lemon pound cake to me. I am training it as a climber so trim some of the horizontal growth. One of the cane is talller than me now, must be close to 6 feet (Posted on 5/30/2017)

The bloom are very large and so pretty. I agree with one of the previous reviewer that the new canes have a hard time supporting the massive blooms but I am hopeful once the bush matures that problem will disappear. A great addition to my rose garden. (Posted on 5/27/2017)
golden in every wayReview by loverockies

I've had this rose for probably 15 years -- it's now competing with the roots of a serviceberry tree and large viburnum, in partial shade and yet cannot be stopped! Covered in blooms as usual for its first flush and will keep it up to a lesser degree all summer and into the fall. Fragrance is outstanding and has moderate blackspot resistance when sprayed. Lovely and low-maintenanceReview by Christine

Got this rose last year and enjoyed lots of gorgeous bronze-yellow blooms throughout the growing season--but what has really made this rose a favorite is the fact that it survived a Boston winter in a large pot with little protection. My only critique is that the bush isn't always tidy--occasionally it shoots out an abnormally long cane. But overall, it's worth it! (Posted on 4/14/2017)
Gorgeous yellow roseReview by Stella

This is my favorite yellow rose by far. It is a deep rich yellow, elegant rose and smells heavenly. It is growing in part shade and flowers abundantly, color true even in Southern CA heat. Never disappointed by this rose. Healthy vigorous tall bush! (Posted on 4/8/2017)
I like it, but do not LOVE it... Here's whyReview by Barbara

Northern California, Zone 9b. Beautiful blooms! The problem is that they are not well supported by the plant. I am not sure of the technical term, where the flower flops over on the stem. It gets black spot too, but then all of my roses seem to get a little because I never spray and rely more on cultural practices. Nevertheless, I would never shovel prune a rose that put out such beautiful blossoms. I like her. I just would never buy her again. I might try something new.

Lovely blush on the tips of the petals as the flower maturesReview by Karin

Not a big fan of yellow, but I got these to bracket my garbage/recycling cans and now I really enjoy taking out the recycling. ; ) I got this also because one side of the cans is shaded, and so far the one on that side, though planted 6 months later than the other, is doing well. Smells great! (Posted on 6/24/2014)

Planted in 2005, still growing but not as vigorous as it used to be. Here in Vancouver WA it has some blackspot, but always recovers nicely even with no spraying it blooms well and has nice fragrance. (Posted on 9/18/2013)
