Lawrence Of Arabia™

Type: English Legend

Wonderful, yet hard to describe, the coloring of this rose reminds one of a desert sunset. The lightly perfumed 5" blooms (petals 90) are of an eye-catching shade of apricot-gold and cherry-coral. A rose full of color surprise. The blooms have all the characteristics of the old-fashioned varieties. The bush itself has all the advantages of modern varieties: massive yield of flowers which are shown to their excellence against the luxurious, rich, glossy, mid-green, foliage on a compact, continually blooming bushy plant that is exceptionally easy to grow.

I love this rose from the picture and the reviews!Review by Myrna

I planted Lawrence of Arabia a few weeks ago, to my surprise, the cats or the racoons pulled it out, the roots were damaged but I re-planted it again, so far is growing nicely.

To be continued, to see is the rose survive, if not, I will order another rose. (Posted on 6/11/2017)

The first year planted, this bush produced blooms that looked more like carnations than roses. The second year, the rose grew considerably larger and had lots of perfectly-formed blooms. The third year, this was the first rose to bloom in spring. It bloomed profusely all summer and was still blooming when we had frost in the fall. It's such a wonderful rose, I have ordered ten for a new rose garden. Although the blooms are not produced on long stems, the little gems look great in a small vase. The bloom color is amazing and the foliage healthy and to the ground. (Posted on 4/14/2014)

The first year I had the Lawrence of Arabia, it bloomed but the flowers were a very unusual shape - lots of petals and a little flat. The next year, it bloomed true to the web site pictures - and lots of blooms. The third year, this rose came into its own. It was one of the first to bloom, bloomed like crazy all summer, and was still blooming in the fall. I'm getting more of these. The color is gorgeous. It would make a nice hedge rose too. Lots of good foliage to the ground. (Posted on 11/14/2013)
My First English Legend RoseReview by Nancy

This rose is the first rose from English Legend. The flowers are lovely shade of peachy, rose apricot. At least, it's the best way to describe the color of the blooms which are lovely with lots of petals. The foliage is glossy and green.
My rose is still a baby. It's a band I placed in a pot and is growing beautifully. I think next season it will go into its own space in the garden where its beauty will glow among the other shrubs and flowers. (Posted on 6/26/2013)

This rose was placed from band to pot. The rose's foliage is filling out nicely and the first bloom wasn't small--especially for such a baby shrub. Happy to say, it's off to an impressive start. I look forward to more blooms. Lovely. (Posted on 6/14/2013)
