If I only had room in my garden for one rose Cecil Brunner has won the spot ! I actually have a large garden and have 2 in my garden and they start blooming in late March and bloom until first freeze ! Mine is NEVER out of bloom and all those beautiful pink sweet heart buds on a bush free of any disease in my Athens, Georgia garden ! Ms. Dulcher knew a fine rose in 1881!

I find the description of “pot rose….3x2’” rose to babe untrue. Bought it this spring and was planning on growing it in a pot for the font of my house. The plant grew fast, good, I thought. A few flowers bloomed, they were about size of a quarter,I didn’t notice a fragrance..
Soon after, the branches started growing long thin branches that would fall over like a vine. Better yet, there were thorns, so now the branches were about 3 to 4 ft long, at least, growing sideways. Every time I walked by my clothes would get snagged by the thorns. I trimmed those branches, few weeks later it was tight back to where we were. I’ve now trimmed them for the second time, and contemplating taking it out of the pot completely ( obviously it’s not meant for pots). I emailed customer service and was told that “ That is the way a Polyantha rose grows, which makes it so popular as it can be grown as a shrub or a climber depending on the gardener's preference. So, obviously that should had been in the description of this plant. I am now leaning towards taking it out either give it to a neighbor or just trash it. I wanted a pot rose because I don’t have room for a shrub rose. This plant no doubt would grow to 8-10 ft.

I have purchased my 100 roses during one year and a half from the “Heirloom roses All off them are different colors and names And they are very beautiful I decided to put on the front of my lovely garden 10 plants of Cecile Brunner as a mono line for complete composition A little bit surprising me such a quickly growing / only two month/ all my mono line on the front and reaching out a bigger size then some of my clubbing roses on the back I just left them alone for now Hope after the trimming them shorter they will bloom and compliance my garden

We had one of these in Texas and it was very hardy and grew super fast. It was hard to keep up with pruning it. The tiny roses were very beautiful.

I had this rose in my zone 5 garden for 15 years without much attention at all. I didn't have any issues with aphids or rot. I had TONS of thorns on mine though, but it kept critters out so I didn't mind. I'm ordering this for my zone 4 garden but I'm going to pot them and they'll be wintering indoors.
