It is one of the most eye-catching and beautiful of all the striped roses. Large semi-double 4" blooms (petals10-12) of velvety, scarlet-red striped with white. The long lasting blooms are produced in large sprays and are blessed by a spicy/sweet apple fragrance. The vigorous disease-resistant continually blooming plant is clothed with sparkling, deep-green foliage that sets off to perfection the superb blooms. It may also be grown as a free standing shrub rose in cooler climates. All of these attributes add up to make "Fourth of July" an outstanding rose.

WonderfulReview by Queen Wench
I bought two of these to frame my courtyard arbor last year. Small the plants may have been, when they arrived,, but within a few weeks they had doubled in size and had about fifteen blooms! That was last year...This year they are now two thirds of the way up the arbor and in full bloom. Each rose has a different white and red pattern as if someone had spatter painted them or put stripes on each petal. No bloom is exactly alike! The wonderful splash's of color is just what I was looking for. There is a slight fragrance, but you have to get up close to smell it. I highly recommend this climber. (Posted on 5/21/2014)
