Details
Heirloom Roses has sold this rose for years as 'Mountbatten' and it has been extremely popular. Since it is a shrub rose bred by Harkness it fits perfectly into the English Legend series of roses. Named to honor Lord Mountbatten of Burma, the last viceroy of India with whom Jack Harkness served. Large, fragrant, fully double cupped 4 1/2" blooms (petals 35) of primrose yellow at times edged with pink with re-flexed petals produced in clusters on a continual blooming bush. A very nice cut flower chosen by the late Princess Diana for inclusion in her wedding bouquet. An easy to grow, vigorous, upright bush with dense, glossy, leathery, deep-green foliage.
