What a great rose. About ten years ago I planted her on a shady hill at the side of the house. I basically forgot her. She is disease free and produces gorgeous roses. Definitely a keeper.

Ignored. She grew into the ground took off and blooms her foolish head off with her splashy striped blooms. Never balls in my misty mornings no disease just beautiful blooms abundant. The old girl has earned her place in garden history. Tough as nails

I cannot get over this rose..i planted her 1 1/2 years ago and she is huge..so many blooms, so beautiful a flower...she is in my top 5: mutablilis, souvenir de la malmaison,
Abraham Darby, reine de violettes...plus duchess de Brabant, cornelia,penelope, and
jude the obscure. cecile brunner etc...I could go on and on...but this rose's growing pattern is amazing...I look forward to this spring.

This rose was a slow grower for me in my gulf coast FL garden. I really don't think she likes the weather here. She produced 2 blooms for me the entire 2 years I've had her. She was planted in full sun, watered and fed adequately- and for that she is very healthy, but just didn't want to bloom. The two blooms she did have were stunning though! And they did smell good, like fruity rose. I wish this rose worked out for me but I learned bourbon roses do not like the Southeast. I sent her to a friend in NY and I hope she does lovely there. I will be replacing her with David Austin Teasing Georgia from Heirloom since I love this companies quality of roses and they have great customer service!

Last year, I started out not knowing anything about growing roses and the different types, their website has been a wealth of knowledge for me to grow roses successfully because there is a lot involved with raising roses! All the other roses I've bought from them (David Austin's and Meilland's Eden Rose) have all done phenomenal here!! I sit outside more just to look at my pretty rose blooms!
