Details
Named after a famed military surveyor and cartographer of the 1700's, this member of the Explorer series offers an outstanding choice for gardeners who want a prolific yet hardy climber. When grown without support it forms a large shrub that's quite attractive. Grown on a trellis, Capt. Samuel Holland will make a handsome climber. The 3" slightly scented flowers are medium red with a strong fuchsia undertone and appear both singly and in numerous clusters of up to ten alongside glossy foliage that is disease resistant.
