Details
This rose was introduced 30 years ago as the first member of what is now known as the Explorer Series. Throughout the summer months, repeat rose blooms freely with sweetly scented fully double 2 1/2" flowers. The center of each is a warm deep pink that blends to a paler hue as it reaches the petal tips. The elongated, matte foliage is dense and highly resistant to mildew. The reddish-brown canes are rather smooth for a rugosa, with virtually no thorns near the flowers. In winter, the color of the canes darkens even further, and will make a beautiful contrast with white snow.
