About Face is unique among bi-color roses and his reverse color demands that you stop in your tracks to take a closer look! His petals are dark, bronzy-orange on the outside and light, golden-orange on the inside making it appear as if he is turned inside-out!  As the pointed buds open into full, cupped, globular, old-fashioned blooms, the various shades of orange dazzle. About Face has clean, deep green foliage and produces 4” blooms at a dizzying rate. This Grandiflora does well in zones 5-10 and makes an excellent cut flower for arrangements.

The Best Bloomer of my 17 Heirloom Roses!

The description & photos for About Face are exactly what mine looks like. If I don't cut it back, it's easily 6' tall and covered with spectacular orange/yellow-copper blooms. And no black spot!! I love About Face!

I planted this rose around April 10, 2022. It has a couple of flowers but is not as vibrant as Strike it Rich. I hope that as it grows and matures the color will deepen.

Strong, eye popping color!

I have been so impressed with this plant! The color has deeply contrasted solid orange-backed petals with strong yellow faces, as if they were all painted that way and it's hard to fathom til you see it. You can't go wrong with how beautiful and unusual it looks. (only the first picture is representative, there is no pink or pastel colors, I think the other pics are a mistake)
Out of 8 heirloom roses I bought last year, this one has resisted black spot and quickly shot up with gigantic 6-foot stems and it's been healthy and robust. highly recommend this if you like interesting flowers!
I live in Portland OR zone 8.

One of my favorites

I am so pleased with this lovely rose. It's difficult to describe because of the change in color as the blooms age. It's gorgeous at all stages, from bud to maturity.

A glorious grandiflora

The photo displayed is very misleading. This rose has no washed out colors. The buds look like glowing embers, and they open to display their unusual reverse coloring of deep coral and yellow. When full blown, they settle into a rich orange red.
I have four in my rose garden, one in ground and three potted. In the ground, the rose is a large, bushy 6 footer. Enjoy!
