I planted 10 different David Austin roses last year, and Ambridge was my absolute favorite! Lovely light blush colored globular shaped blooms, that were quite large, as far as DA’s go. I planted 2 in pots and one in the ground, and they all did very well here in Seattle, zone 8b. If I could have a garden full of just one David Austin Rose, Ambridge would be my choice, hands down. I LOVE her, and am SO excited to see her again this spring!

This rose is so lovely! Buds are a rich salmon/apricot and then open to a paler warm pink. Blooming abundantly its first year (planted in January, zone 8) and when fully open blooms are *enormous* and remind me of peonies. Taking one star off the review for two reasons: First, I'm not getting the amazing fragrance other people have mentioned... it does have a perfume but sort of a weird one. Perhaps fragrance will develop more over time! Second, it's not as disease and pest resistant as my other roses; have had to deal with rust and anthracnose but have found both easy to control with regular checks and early pruning of infected leaves.

This is probably my favorite David Austin roses. Not only is it beautiful but the fragrance is out of this world!

Good color fragrance repeat. No disease at all

I live in Zone 5 and received my rose at the end of May 2017. Initially I thought the plant wasn't going to make it as the leaves developed spots and started to fall. I was extremely disappointed because I had read such great reviews about Heirloom roses. But then it came back to life and started blooming! It has been snowing for a month here and it is still green and healthy. I can't wait for next summer to see what she has to offer after having an established year under he belt!
