Autumn Sunset®

Type: Shrub

A rare sport of that outstanding, hardy shrub rose "Westerland" with all of its fine qualities in a blend of rich apricot and golden yellow. The ruffled, 5" semi-double blooms were discovered by long time rose grower and nurseryman Mike Lowe of New Hampshire. This rose has everything: wonderful fragrance, great winter hardiness, outstanding disease resistance (especially to black-spot). This is a continual blooming beauty. 5" bloom with 20-25 petals.

Growing roses at the coast can be a challenge with the cool, wet weather. I never spray so black spot can wipe out most roses but Autumn Sunset handles the challenge admirably. Healthy, strong plant is covered with fragrant, beautiful blooms. Has been growing here for years and just keeps getting bigger and better. Highly recommend. (Posted on 6/15/2017)

Fabulous RoseReview by Kisa

I have a novice rose gardener and feel very fortunate to have found this rose at Heirloom. It is growing (as a rambler) on the north side of my house, in the shade of a large locust. The color is gorgeous. It blooms like crazy ever June and then continues to bloom a bit throughout the summer and fall, right up to frost. It has never had any black spot or other problems. I love it. (Posted on 6/14/2016)
