Benjamin Britten™

Type: David Austin

Strong salmon-pink that changes with age to a particularly strong shade of pure pink. Deeply cupped flowers gradually develop into an open, slightly cupped rosette. Medium height; vigorous, with dense semi-glossy foliage. Ideal for the border or may be grown in a large pot or container. The fragrance is intensely fruity, with aspects of wine and pear drops.

UnusualReview by Janet
This rose is very unusual in that it changes color as the blooms grow older so it makes for a varied rose and is very pretty.

I planted the rose this year and fully expected not to get any blooms this year, but was surprised at how many it produced. Looking forward to next year when it is fully established as I am sure it will be a wonderful addition to my garden. Love David Austin roses and feel so fortunate to have Heirloom Roses so close to where I live. (Posted on 8/26/2017)

He took his time. But after one year and a sunnier location, he blooms in breathtakingly full cups and clusters, magnificent color. (Posted on 6/20/2016)

Great Climbing Rose for the SouthReview by Clay
Does great in the South where it is a climber of 8' to 10'. Little problems with black spot and none with mildew. (Posted on 6/26/2013)
