Charles Kuralt™

Type: Shrub

Wonderful, semi-double blooms open to a lovely glowing coral and then slowly change to what could be called a perfect pink, shading slightly lighter toward the golden stamens at its center. The flower exudes a sweet perfume. Its blooms are produced in clusters on a great bush that is sturdy and robust.
3-4" Blooms, 20 Petals, Continual Blooming

This rose appears different from all the other roses in my garden. Each bloom is perfect... each petal has almost a smooth crepe paper appearance. I know - crepe paper has a wrinkled texture but that's not what I mean. The petals are actually very smooth but they are flat in appearance, not cupped like normal rose petals. You'll just have to purchase one to see what I mean. There is a light fragrance and in my humid and rainy season of summer this year there has been NO evidence of disease at all. I have had this rose, purchased from Heirloom, for about six or seven years and I even moved it last year. It does very well in my zone 5 garden. (Does die to the ground every winter.)
