Colette®

Type: Shrub

The rose has a great soft pink look to it with an outstanding sweet fragrance, although some people consider it more of a spicy musk like tea or even closer to a damask. It will bloom continuously from May all the way until the first freezing of the season. The big blooms and numerous frills give it a great antique look. Makes a great cut flower. Can be grown on trellises, arbors or arches. Very disease resistant.
Petals 135-140, bloom 3 1/4",

Great hardy roseReview by Beth

I planted Colette years ago, it has survived elk, deer, sheep and goats pruning it, and 2 major droughts with little watering. I'm at 7000 ft in colo..I'd like to get a couple more of these bushes, which bloom all summer , June to frost, with amazing scent. (Posted on 7/27/2018)

Au contraire on that hardiness zone, my friends! I grew this wonderful blooming powerhouse at my house at 7,070 in the high plains of Colorado - a Zone 4. It survived for at least 15 years at that altitude and zone, so I'm confident in my claim. I'm sad to see the fragrance seems to be variable as mine had an intense sweet, heavy rose fragrance with a hint of lemon behind it. I've recently moved higher (a whole 10'!) and plan to make this a star at the new home. (Posted on 3/31/2018)

I live in Colorado at 7,070 (at my old house) and grew it there. It blooms profusely, love, love, love the scent, and I was a zone 4b (back before the climate changed so much) and now consider myself a zone 5. This is one tough rose - hardly ever had a stitch of dieback. AND I never protected my roses (well, I do David Austin's, but only in the first year.) This is a GREAT rose. (Posted on 1/22/2018)
Excellent foliage and floweReview by Gorgeous workhorse

Very thorny and an amazingly robust grower, it can get huge. But not much can out perform it in the humid south. It blooms heavily, repeats well, good for cutting, and nice fragrance. When it comes it to bloom everyone wants to know what it is. (Posted on 12/23/2016)
