Earth Angel™

Type: Floribunda

Exceptionally fragrant peony-shaped flowers. Foliage is bright glossy green. The form is upright and the plant typically is about 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide. This old-fashioned rose has an unusual fruity top note: the first impression is of lemon, and sparkles like a fine note of champagne, then presents a hint of elder flower and a discreet top note of ripe raspberries. Freshness dominates the heart note. An airy impression of fresh apples in the garden after a summer rain resides in the finish, accompanied by the rather soft base note with a light sweetness and a classic rose bouquet. Blooms vary from white to soft pink throughout the plant and may change as plant reaches full maturity. May take several bloom cycles to produce peony-shaped flowers.

My Favorite RoseReview by Adena

This is the most beautiful rose I own! I live in Maryland and my only complaint would be that Japanese beetles love this rose. It is very healthy and robust. I have multiple blooms at all times of the growing season. (Posted on 8/4/2018)

Received this rose & planted it right away early in June 2018--it is July 2018 & the three sticks have turned into a 2 1/2 foot bush with 5 buds that are getting ready to burst into flower! I am impressed since I didn't expect to get flowers two and a half months after planting in the first year! Can hardly wait to see what the blossoms look and smell like! BTW I am in Oregon in Beaverton. . . (Posted on 7/24/2018)

Only one year in my garden and it's COVERED in perfect blush pink globular flowers--with no balling. I love this rose. Wish I could post a pic. It's to die for. (Posted on 6/5/2018)

I planted this awesome rose plant last summer, in zone 7. There is an abundance of beautiful white/pale pink flowers this year. This variety is undoubtedly the best rose I have ever grown. (Posted on 5/28/2018)

Planted in Zone 10....and in a rather precarious spot...some shade, this little trooper (actually two of them) has given me, already, about 6 blooms with more coming!! Earth Angel is really a delicate beauty, and the scent is out of this world (ahem...proving it is aptly named). We are just this season planting our rose garden, and ALL my roses from Heirloom are doing beautifully...I will actually have a garden of rose blooms this first year! What Joy! (Posted on 5/23/2018)
Super healthy roseReview by Dee

My Earth Angels are planted in zone 7a, Tennessee. I planted these very late in the season, mid October. They weathered just fine through the unusually bitter winter of 2017. Now in Spring, these are some of my healthiest roses with beautiful glossy leaves, and around 6 buds on each bush! I have a Don Juan rose that suffers terribly from black spot 4 feet from one of the bushes and the Earth Angel is completely unaffected. So happy with these roses. (Posted on 4/20/2018)
Beautiful rose, I ordered it last year, it’s off to very slow start however I got one bloom last year. I was in awwww when Insaw just how beautiful this rose will be. I haven’t seen anything yet this year (2018) but I’m sure excited for the future...Review by NeeNee

I received and planted this rose last Spring. It survived the hot humid Summer and even a massive hurricane. Now quadrupled in size, is covered in tiny buds. Looking forward to blooms! (Posted on 3/10/2018)

I purchased this rose back in early June. It did very well during the hot, humid Indiana summer. I am especially excited to see what this rose will do next year!!! (Posted on 10/14/2017)

While I usually only like David Austin roses this one is an exception. Love the beautiful cupped almost peony shaped form of the blooms and there are so many flowers!! Great producer. Just received this spring and already enjoying the buds (Posted on 9/6/2017)

What a beautiful pale blue pink. I only received one rose this first year, but what a beauty. The fragrance reminds me of my grandmother's pink bathroom. She had rose soaps I played with as a child. I have her in a beautiful ceramic pot and the whole structure looks like a serene bonsai. Thank you for a healthy rose. I spray baking soda in water with a few drops of bio dish soap to keep the bugs at bay. It seemed to work this year. (Posted on 9/1/2017)

This rose seems immune to blackspot with our spraying. A vigorous grower, and the scent in cooler spring and fall is very strong old rose. I'll be adding to my current three. (Posted on 8/27/2017)
Earth Angel Temperature Tolerance Review by Robin

Would love to know how this gorgeous rose handles dry heat and strong winters, temps ranging from 10 degrees in the winter up to 105 degrees in the summer. Anyone in Salt Lake City or similar zone care to comment? Does it do well in direct sunlight or would partial sunlight be better? (Posted on 8/9/2017)

I have planted them in pots because we have the usual suspects in our garden. They are growing like crazy and there are two blooms if not more. Beautiful to look at and once the roses start blooming in full, it's going to be a sight! (Posted on 8/2/2017)
