Spectacular RoseReview by Kar
I bought this rose 30 years ago while living in Reno Nevada. I moved to Henderson Nevada in 2000 and brought the bush with me . I then moved to a home in Las Vegas and transplanted Evelyn again. She not only survived these moves but is more beautiful every year. The roses are beautiful from bud to full bloom. I love this rose!!!! (Posted on 10/18/2017)
Intoxicating Review by Charlene
Just planted my Evelyn about a month ago. She is slow to grow, but the small blooms have the most intoxicating Rose scent. The first thing I thought of was my grandma's Rose perfume. I love, love, love this beautiful plant. You will not be disappointed in the beauty or scent of Evelyn. (Posted on 5/27/2017)
My Favorite RoseReview by Mirmy
She has beautiful colors, smells amazing and grows well in full sun. There is no other rose I love as much as her. She also has been a climber. Maybe I bought the wrong one. (Posted on 2/3/2017)
one of my very favoritesReview by seattlejanie
I planted this rose maybe 15 ago in a dance studio garden that I started.
The soil is clay, doesn't get amended enough and the rose is only watered once a week. It has been tough as nails, has beautiful flowers and has survived conditions that would have easily killed another rose.
It is well over 5 feet tall now, and so beautiful when it blooms. The flowers smell heavenly. I am ordering one to plant in my home garden. (Posted on 4/25/2016)
Heavenly Fragrance, Slow GrowingReview by JacquelineH
Evelyn is powerfully fragrant. One of the most fragrant roses I have in my garden. However, she is slow grower and doesn't really bloom in great flushes like my other roses. Her blooms are really unique and fantastic though--multicolored and warm, with what I think of as a true cabbage rose shape--very unique.
I grow Evelyn for her cut blooms alone and tucked her in with other roses as she doesn't have much of a presence in the entire scheme of my garden. Still she is worth it--when I have guests one cut bloom in a bud vase scents my entire powder room. (Posted on 10/1/2014)
A Real FavoriteReview by linners
Purchased Evelyn when she first came out and have loved her for years. The blooms in my central CA coast garden are a very deep apricot with swirls of yellow and warm pink, but overall very peachy. The huge flat quartered blooms really draw the attention of visitors to my garden and she is a real favorite. Add very strong fragrance to that and you have a winner. Long, strong canes and healthy foliage. (Posted on 4/20/2014)
