FIJI ™

Type: Hybrid Tea

This hybrid tea is very resistant to diseases, including blackspot and mildew. The very large, very double, deep pink to cherry-red flowers grow in small clusters bloom form. While the roses are lightly fragrant, they are extremely floriferous. Lightly glossy, medium to dark green foliage fill in the few small gaps left by the clusters of blooms. The plant is on the shorter side (4’ tall and 3’ wide) which makes it perfect for planting it in front of other plants or in a pot.

I live in lower Alabama which is Zone 9. It has been a very hot and humid summer. This rose arrived without any foliage at all. I planted according to directions and within a week it was fully leafed out. Roses appeared in a very short time. It has bloomed well and is handling our heat well. (Posted on 8/29/2018)
Super healthy bushReview by WA grower

I am zone 8b. This rose is a fantastically healthy and full of flowers all the time between June and October. It is a large bush and gets easily to 7 feet in my area. It was about 7 feet in the second year after planting. I replanted it in my new garden last September, it is back to 7 feet and covered in flowers this summer! II pruned it down to 2 feet before this season. It did beautifully in a pot last summer as well. Flowers last several days in a vase and have lovely but light fragrance (Posted on 7/2/2018)

Hi -- I just reviewed "Fiji" -- must add that the description says it is on the smaller size -- not in our yard! I did plant it at the edge of the bed, thinking it would be a smaller bush.
First year it was at least five feet tall, with one cane that shot up to about eight feet (no kidding), which we let go just to see what would happen, because it had blossoms at the very top -- amazing. This year, after a serious pruning, it is currently about five feet high. We are zone 8. Super healthy bush, loaded with flowers -- they make great cut flowers. Very strong stems. Beautiful. We planted Fiji last year -- we are organic gardeners -- no black spot or any other problems, and this was a really wet spring. Tall, upright, loaded with flowers. A beautiful hot pink. I'm very happy with this rose! (Posted on 7/5/2017)

This rose is so gorgeous. I love the shape of this flower and the buds. The flower is so dense and the buds look like cute little balls of candy. It puts out basal canes like no ones business and shrugs off pest, disease, you name it. definitely a keeper and has made a wonderful home in my garden. (Posted on 4/10/2016)
