Solid Yellow Rose

This is one of the 20+ own root roses I planted in the Spring of 2022. It didn’t do much last year, but this year it really took off. Super floriferous. For three weeks it was covered with more than 20 blooms. The rose has healthy foliage and also does not attract the most common pests such as thrips, Japanese beetles and aphids at all, which makes it a low maintenance plant. One down side though - the lovely medium yellow color only stays for one day before it fades off, leaving behind a light cream color. The petals also curl up quickly. I don’t know if this is a common thing for all yellow roses.

My Favorite Yellow Rose

This yellow rose is gorgeous! It never stops blooming, just huge clusters of deep yellow that lighten as the blooms age. Sometimes the blooms are half lighter and darker yellow, a very striking combination. Living in the southeast with very high heat and humidity, I didn’t know what to expect, but this hard working rose just keeps throwing out blooms during the peak of summer while others go slightly dormant. It is pretty good at resisting blackspot, and responds well to fungicide use. I love this rose so much that I ordered several more! It’s the best!

Phenomenal

This rose is absolutely stunning. It has not stopped blooming since it started (zone 6). It currently has 20+ opening buds on it and each one is prettier than the last. The foliage is a glossy deep green and very full.

Gorgeous Rose!

This rose was delivered and planted on May 2nd, and graced us with its first bloom on May 30th, exactly four weeks later! It is true that I ordered a gallon-size, since the banded pots were not available, but even so, four weeks from planting to bloom is simply amazing! Buds open a beautiful chrome yellow, and soften to a more butter yellow after opening. Foliage is a medium green.

I'm looking forward to years of this delightful yellow rose in our front yard!
