Had tp change my review

We've ordered Gemini twice from Heirloom and I thought it didn't survive winter twice. I waited quite a while in 2022 for signs of life (the second time). Just as I was preparing to dig it up I noticed a tiny, very tiny, green thing near the blackened stem. I held off. It was a sprout. If this hadn't been an Heirloom own=root rose I wouldn't have bothered, but I gave it some time. In 2022 it stayed tiny, not getting bigger than a head of broccoli, but we mulched it well in Winter 2022. It revived and has flourished this year. In this spring (2023). it has made another basal break, so it's finally got two stems and the first got to blooming size. The flowers are gorgeous, slight scent, but wonderful hybrid tea form and superb color, exactly what we'd hoped for the first time we bought it in 2021. I think burying it in mulch late fall/early winter was what worked. I'd say it's probably one of those that starts early and might be happier, or more reliable, in a warmer place than our Zone 7a garden. We're in a cold spot in the zone. The site says Z6 but I'd be cautious and put it in a sheltered spot. The lovely bloom shape displays the coloring well.

Gemini

I order rose bushes only from Heirloom. The plants are robust, the customer service unmatched and my happiness in caring for, sharing and enjoying these fabulous flowers indescribable. Gemini has become my absolute favorite. It's very hardy, and blooms throughout the season with an abundance of stunning roses. Though it's only been in the ground here in my 8b, beachfront home in NW Washington, it appears as if it's a couple of years old already. It has beautiful, dark green glossy leaves and strong canes. It's just gorgeous. Thank you Heirloom Roses for all you do and the joy your work brings to my garden.

not hardy here

Gemini hasn't survived winter in our Zone 7a garden - two times. It's rated to Z6. It's been treated like our other 70+ roses and we gave it another chance, We won't try Gemini again.

One of My Favorites!

Love this rose, healthy and beautiful! Offers interesting shades and color spectrum. It will be a worthy addition to your rose collection. For me, it gave the first bloom only 3 weeks after arrival. I live in Zone 10, South Florida.
