Perfect Flowers, Perfectly HardyReview by Cecelia
Grande Amore is perfect for cutting: Glowing stop-light red flowers of perfect form with good fragrance, on long, strong stems. The shiny, attractive leaves are exceptionally resistant to blackspot.
It is challenging to find hybrid teas that can survive my Zone 5 New England winters--the fluctuating temperatures and moisture can kill roses that would survive more stable cold. This rose has survived several winters under these difficult conditions. Three out of four years it has even maintained a foot or more of healthy canes (most hybrid teas need to be cut back to stubs to find healthy wood in spring). (Posted on 10/13/2017)
Healthy and Beautiful RoseReview by Roger
I ordered one this fall and it had several beautiful red blooms before winter set in. The plant sent up basals and the foliage was very healthy. I am very impressed and will order more in the spring. This one is a winner! (Posted on 12/18/2016)
