Beautiful and Great FragranceReview by Michelle
This rose was a little slower to establish than some of the other roses I purchased this year from Heirloom Roses. Unfortunately this rose did suffer some set-backs this first season in my south central Pennsylvania, zone 6 garden. It has been an exceptionally wet summer with mild to moderate temperatures. I had a black spot problem and this rose was affected. The Japanese beetles that plagued my garden also enjoyed devouring this rose. Since we have a neighbor with honey bees, I tried in vain to take care of the beetle problem naturally. Unfortunately I did have to spray this rose with pesticide because it couldn't catch a break and looked like twigs. Thankfully, the beetles are finally gone and this rose is coming back to life. I have managed to also enjoy a couple mature blooms. I am looking forward to next year because the flowers are gorgeous and the perfume is that classic old fragrance that I have been craving! Fragrant, Healthy, Prolific!Review by James
I am an avid rose grower with over 115 rose varities, and this is easily the 2nd best rose in my entire garden. Shes got it all big beautiful fragrant blooms on a very vigorous disease free plant, her only flaw in my opinion is that she tends to bloom in large clusters more like a grandiflora than a hybrid tea and this causes the canes and flowers to lean forward and face down due to the weight and size of her many blooms (Posted on 5/1/2016)

Wonderful Review by Cooksforest
For all of you fellow rocky mtn. Region or zone 5/6 this rose is it. First season ,plant grew to enormous proportions , she provides multiple gorgeous blooms that can be smelled yards away. One rose can fill a room with its most delicious fragrance. Not into fading color roses , so grand dame filled that need. Opens deep purplish pink ends deep purplish pink. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous rose. (Posted on 2/4/2014)
Very Strong Fragrance - As good as AARSReview by chianna
I have 3 Grande Dame and 3 Memorial Day, I plant them in circle, I tried to tell my husband Memorial Day are AARS and Grande Dame aren't, then he say I don't see different in grow, bloom size, quantity, frequency, except fragrance little difference.

Grande Dame have all good quality of AARS. (own-root roses do better than grafted). Grande Dame are own-root, Memorial Day are grafted.) (Posted on 10/27/2013)
beautiful rose, is very much like chinese peonyReview by vironica
The flower begins to boom 2 months after it arrives. It grows very fast. Color is as the picture, and it is big! The flower is too big for the young branches, so the flower is kinda "nodding the head" now. However, overall, the flower is pretty and the color is very elegant pink. (Posted on 9/20/2013)
