I am sure I planted “Heritage” when my garden climate was more a zone 4, then the 5 it is now days and I hoped for the best. So about 20 years later up where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River it was magnificent this year with virtually no care. I looked it up here because I thought of sending one to the friend that reminded me of its name this summer. She is now moving to near Tulsa OK., and I would love to have her plant one there next summer, in remembrance of our love of flower gardens.

I gave the heritage rose to my daughter and she won grand champion at the fair

During its first year after planting last fall, Heritage has proved to be a vigorous grower in my Zone 6 garden. I did help my Heritage with weekly supplemental water and some liquid Kelp during a very hot, dry summer here in the Northeast, and it has done remarkably well with some sporadic blooming throughout the season - not bad for a first-year rose! If you want to cut these roses for bouquets, do so when they're still in bud and the blooms will last much longer. The fragrance is heavenly!

Roses arrived in such perfect condition. I'll never order roses from another site. Can't wait for them to grow and bloom.
