SHIPPING AND WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
As the Shipping and Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee all shipping and warehouse functions and will lead a team of employees to ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and efficiently to meet timely order deliveries. With management support from the Heirloom Roses leadership team, our shipping operations team fulfills customer orders which during seasonal spike is at a high volume pace and may require extended work hours.
Establishes and follows operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of product, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Oversees outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and condition of shipments.
Ensures outgoing shipping is prepared to meet timely seasonal schedules.
Inspects daily operations to ensure compliance with shipping quality specifications and issues are reported accordingly.
Compiles records of unfilled orders for subsequent submission to Customer Service.
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
Prepares daily composite reports from individual reports of subordinates and ad hoc productivity reports.
Must be a self starter that is KPI driven with an emphasis on LEAN operations.
Investigate accidents according to Company best practice and report as needed.
Proven knowledge of replenishment and ability to manage it in an efficient manner.
Ability to objectively complete performance review forms on subordinates.
Proven ability and willingness to take a hands-on approach as necessary, to include safe operation of all required in-house equipment.
Ensure Safety and OSHA rules are followed
Maintain inventory integrity by employing “world-class” warehousing and inventory control practices.
Must oversee and promote sanitation and facility maintenance.
Must understand the perishability of the product being shipped.
Must have a rudimentary knowledge of basic plant physiology or have the willingness to learn how the products being shipped grow.

Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.
Ability to motivate team and foster buy in.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Minimum of three (3) years of experience of related experience.
Knowledge of shipping practices, shipping methods, and warehouse technology.
Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, including skills in Excel.
