Lady Jane Grey™

Type: English Legend

An elegant beauty that consistently looks lovely in the garden. Named for the Queen of England who remained faithful to her convictions and as a result lost her throne and her life. Old-style 5" many petaled (at times almost quartered) blooms whose color is rose amber overlaid with blush pink and an inner hint of honey. Wonderfully strong perfume with beauty of bloom that will make you want to bring it in the house. The blooms are borne on a continual blooming upright, well-foliaged bush with leathery dark green, shiny leaves that makes the blooms even more pronounced. 60+ petals.

We are no longer growing Lady Jane Grey™ but will maintain this listing for reference purposes.

This rose has a great flush of blooms all Summer long in my Michigan garden. It has morning shade and afternoon sun. The rabbits leave it alone. Very recent addition to my garden. (Posted on 3/26/2015)

I purchased the Lady Jane Grey rose from Heirloom in 2012 and put it in the ground in July 2013. This spring the compact size bush has bloomed profusely with very large, very fragrant blooms. The color and form are exactly as Heirloom has shown in their picture here. It is a gorgeous rose! (Posted on 6/20/2014)
Lovely, long lasting in the vaseReview by Marianna

I planted Lady Jane in the fall of 2012. It bloomed well in the spring of 2013 but the blooms were small and unimpressive. I almost considered replacing it. However, this spring, it bloomed early, in mid May with an impressive array of strong, amber to pink blooms. I cut several and brought them inside and they lasted almost two weeks! Longer than the ones on the bush. As they fade, the petals reflex and reveal a large button center that gives it a different look. I can't wait to see how quickly it repeats and how large the blooms are next year. (Posted on 6/9/2014)

First rose, soon as i put it in its pot it started growing, it was amazing. Within two months it already had leaves and branches and starting buds! The flowers were amazing, smelled nice, so big the branches could barley hold them up. Defiantly tell a friend about this one.
Love it!! (Posted on 1/26/2014)
