Lady Of Shalott (pronounced shuh·lot) is prized by rose lovers and considered to be one of the best David Austin Roses for her remarkable flower performance and disease resistance. Her young buds of vibrant, orange-red open to form chalice-shaped flowers filled with loosely arranged petals of salmon pink with a golden-yellow reverse. The flowers are deliciously fragrant with the scent of warm tea and hints of spiced apples and cloves. Lady of Shalott quickly forms a large, bushy shrub with slightly arching stems and mid-green foliage. She is a must-have for the cutting garden and thrives in zones 4-11! If you had to pick just one David Austin Rose, this might be the one!

3rd year is the charm!

This is my 3rd year with Lady Of Shalott, and the growth is very vigorous this year. Year 2 saw lots of sawfly damage, so I’m hoping that doesn’t happen this year. It got a good prune in early Spring, lots of compost, and a dose of fertilizer, and it has taken off with tons of new growth. We had a decent number of blooms last year, but this year it looks healthier and more productive. Can’t wait to see what it does!

Not Impressed

With everyone raving about Lady of Shallot, I bought 2 last year. One in spring and the other in the fall. The one I bought in spring has had plenty of time but I have not had a single bud from her. Her leaves are tiny and dull. She can’t tolerate Texas heat (I’ll cut her some slack here because summer was brutal last year). Almost every rose I planted last year has given me something, except for Lady of Shallot. All I have is a weak, dull bush with no thick cane, no rose, no bud. Not impressed.

Already blooming

I put this rose in the ground and within 2 weeks it already has buds, can’t wait to see buds opening.
So excited, I have returned for mor roses and will continue to do so again and again.

Beautiful Rose

The roses I ordered came in very healthy conditions. After one month of owning this rose, I started to see new blooms. I am happy with my purchase
