Madame Anisette™

Type: Grandiflora

All Roses $33

Valid Through 9/27/18

A cream- colored large bloom with an extraordinary scent. The habit is upright. The foliage is abundant with large, bright green leaves. Easy to grow and a repeat bloomer. This rose is perfect for the back of a perennial bed or as a specimen plant. Excellent for cutting flowers. This lovely rose surprises with its unusual scent. The top note is an extremely aromatic perfume of anise reminding us of liquorice and aromatic-woody myrrh. Spicy notes like lovage play a minor role. The distinct soapy character of the rose note in the heart of the scent emerges when the blossom opens, and makes the characteristic scent of the fresh rose surprisingly disappear. Honey notes form a balanced contrast.

Heart-warmingly Beautiful & Fragrant!Review by James V

Now I've had (2) of these roses growing for a couple years one in a large pot the other in the ground - the blooms are magnificently scented and fairly large I'd say depending on the quality of the stems, the color is also complex being softer almost white on the inside becoming more pink towards the center, it's EXTREMELY healthy the foliage is a bright glossy green, it definitely more upright than most roses I've. The fragrance reminds me of Vanilla and Myrrh - they both took sometime before they began to perform as well as they're doing now (Posted on 8/15/2018)
Can’t wait for blooms Review by Steve

I planted Madame Anisette on January 23, 2017. I live in zone 8b, South Texas. Its grown so much beautiful green foliage but still no roses. I’m not sure if I should peg this rose since the canes are growing pretty long. Perhaps that will stimulate rose growth. There’s an old adage about planting roses, “first year they sleep, second year creep and third year they leap!” Maybe there’s something to that.

Planted ttwo of them last spring. Even at first season both of them gave a lot of flowers (I wish I could attach the picture). Zone 7b, WA. Very strong, healthy and tall bushes. This season 2018 they have already a lot of buds. Can’t wait to see them blooming again! (Posted on 5/25/2018)
No BloomsReview by Jill

I planted this rose bush in April 2017. It didn’t bloom at all last year. Now it is almost June 2018 and it still hasn’t bloomed. It has grown 3 times it’s original size, and has lucious green foliage. As of today (May 16, 2018), there is no sign of any buds on this rose. I fertilize every 3 weeks during blooming season. I guess I’ll just keep waiting and see what happens...if anything. I live in Tulsa, OK which is zone 6/7. (Posted on 5/16/2018)
