A bushy, upright plant with glossy, dark green foliage, Mavourneen is winter hardy in the midwest. This Hybrid Tea will truly be a beloved addition to your garden.

Chunky and healthy

Packed with blooms on its second year. Got through hard winter easily. No cane loss. 4 inch blooms in big clusters. Nice fragrance, very noticeable. Again, scorches in June sun now. Deepens in color to currant as it ages.

unusual red

This is not a hybrid tea shape on my young rose, but more flat. Nice scent that stays close to plant. I may move mine to a place with more shade because I find it fades too much in full sun. Its only on its first year though so that could also be a root development issue. Currant red as the description says not orange red at all. Nice shade of red in a pink and white rose garden. The white reverse side makes the blooms stand out with more texture than most dark roses. So far my blooms are small, but so it the rose. I expect it to be healthy, dark green foliage.
