Mister Lincoln®

Type: Hybrid Tea

A very well-known hybrid tea. Long pointed buds open into large, well-formed, long stemmed, fully double 4" blooms (petals 24+) of velvety, deep red. The velvety texture of the bloom is almost unbelievable. 'Mr. Lincoln' has outstandingly strong damask fragrance that seduces the senses. A vigorous, tall, upright continual blooming bush with dark green foliage. Makes a good cut flower.

One of my very favorites! Nicely shaped upright bush with blooms that scent my whole garden. Also make a beautiful cut flower. (Posted on 10/1/2017)

Got a gallon size last July and has produced 3 flowers so far, truly fragrant and could've produced more had fall and frost not set in here in Ohio. I do look forward to a more prolific bloomer next season. A really standout in my garden, so distinct in color and not loud at all. (Posted on 9/30/2017)
Beautiful rose, especially for Northern CAReview by Michifur

Wonderful red rose, vigorous, prolific, lovely fragrance and form. Lost one star because a little more susceptible to mildew then some of the newer roses. But still can't be beat as one of the all-time greatest red roses!

P.S. All the great roses that I grew in the East coast acid soil, smell totally different in CA. Shocking Blue, which has a delicious lemon scent, had barely any scent and no lemon. Yves Piaget has 15-20% anise and is nowhere near as sweet. On the good side, all the "fruity" roses smell sweeter, like Secret. Other good roses for CA are Elle, Sheila's Perfume, and Beverly (though not if too much shade/wet/fog, because it tends to ball in wet moist weather). (Posted on 4/30/2017)

I got one of these when I had my son Walter. He is now 33yrs and my rose bush has been left at my last home and I so wish to get another one. I just love the smell and it lasts for so long. (Posted on 3/10/2017)
