Mme Alfred Carrière

Type: Noisettes

One of the most fragrant of roses. Clusters of large, globular, cupped 3 1/2" flowers (petals 40+) of pale, pearl-pink, aging to cream on a strong plant with attractive foliage. A most outstanding pillar rose. More hardy than other Noisettes. We have reports of it doing very well in Philadelphia. A wonderful repeat blooming climber.

Amazing Tree Climber Review by MerrieMerrie
I gave Mme A. Carriere as a gift to a friend with a low water table. We planted her high in a mound of rich soil below the base of a Madronna Tree in zone 8 about 10 years ago. Mme Carriere has wound herself well over 30 feet high, throughout this tall sparsely branched tree, gracing it with a multitude of blooms every spring. It is an amazing site and the highlight of the little farmyard. My busy friend commented that she has never tended this rose in any way. (Posted on 6/4/2018)
Lovely!Review by MMME
This beauty has been blooming in my yard near Seattle for over 25 years. You can smell it's wonderful fragrance coming down the street. I love it and the neighbors do too!

Wow. Not Quite a house eater.Review by Linda J-M
This rose covers the back quarter of my two story house. Nice scent and there are roses virtually all spring/summer. (Posted on 6/10/2017)
Wonderful roseReview by Lee
This is one of my favorite roses. It's extremely shade tolerant and has beautiful, heavily scented blooms. The petals dry well and retain a lot of fragrance. (Posted on 3/27/2017)
