In the background of most of our modern roses today. Review by Alex, Charlotte, NC

A terrific bush, can grow in poor soil, flower (though infrequently - but it grows) in a north facing exposure. A great grand parent of Crimson Glory, which in turn is a parent of Charlotte Armstrong, which is a parent of Tiffany, Sutter's Gold, Bewitched, Queen Elizabeth and of course Chrysler Imperial- which is a parent of Oklahoma, Mister Lincoln, Papa Meilland and Miss. All American Beauty to name a few. So along with another Joseph Pernet - Duchess hybrid, Ophelia, this rose is one of the most important roses ever bred. It's also beautiful and easy to grow. I have always loved this rose. It is what I consider the quintessential Old-fashioned Hybrid Tea pink rose. (Posted on 2/26/2017)
