Growing out of control in a good way!

I received 3 of these as gifts to memorialize a beloved fur baby. One did not survive (my fault) but here on the third year, the two remaining bushes are almost 9 feet tall and literally COVERED in blooms. Mme Violet is currently blowing away all the neighboring David Austins. Both bushes are doing equally awesome.

Gorgeous but not the most hardy

Loved this little yearling rose and OH how we tried to nurture it (by all of the usual means). Unfortunately it only survived for 6 months in our 9b Coastal California valley.

As it was such a delight and because we had several frosts this winter (other Heirloom yearlings survived), I am going to give Mademoiselle one more try; fingers crossed!

Fragrant

Says thw fragrance is light.it is actually strong! Smells like strong violets.smells really sweet. Love it.the coloe is a silvery lavender.
