Molineux®

Type: David Austin

Many petaled, golden yellow 4" blooms (petals 50+) that open wide to show deeply colored centers of a blending of peach and apricot. Exceptional freedom of bloom and a wonderful fruity fragrance. 'Molineux' is one of the more compact growing of Austin's roses and should be most useful in smaller gardens. A bushy plant that will bloom continually.

These two roses bloom in front of my dining room thus we see them all day. Sturdy, productive and changing color. Gives me peace in our troubled world! (Posted on 8/22/2017)

Beautiful bush, lovely roses!Review by BamaGirl

Beautiful bright yellow rose with a deeper apricot center. Does well in hot humid south..North Alabama, 7A. I have it on the south side in the center of a rose garden. Starting the 3rd year and is doing beautiful in early May with loads of buds ready to open and have already cut a few roses for inside. So happy I chose Molineux as my yellow rose choice for the center of my rose garden. Arrived well packed and in great plant shape too after being shipped across country from Heirloom Roses. Molineux is a warm, cheerful yellow, with 10 or more buds and blooms showing at once, on a less than 2 year old plant, 3' x 4'. The Austin roses have this marvelous slow motion about them, showing color for weeks, then blooming. I live on the marine influenced NW Coast of Washington state, USA's temperate rainforest. Rarely hot and lots of rain. MOLINEUX LIKES LIGHT AND WARMTH. It gets both morning and afternoon sun, with a break in between. I have it in a giant black pot. It didn't like where I planted it in ground, so dug it up and gave it more heat. (Posted on 2/24/2017)
great landscape roseReview by JWN999

I have had a Molineux for 7 years, planted on the east side of our garage (zone 7a). It loves the sun, is one of my first roses to bloom in May, and continually pumps out tons of beautiful yellow flowers. Flower coloring becomes more complex in the fall, with lovely apricot tones. But this is defintely a landscape rose. Blooms have very short vase life. (Posted on 2/4/2014)
