Mortimer Sackler™

Type: David Austin

Something quite new and different. A tall shrub with rather small dark green leaves. The flowers have a shallow cupped shape and are soft pink paling to the outer petals. As the flower opens it gradually exposes its stamens to add further to its beauty. The whole impression is one of delicacy and grace all produced on a nearly thorn-less bush.

We are no longer growing Mortimer Sackler™ but will maintain this listing for reference purposes.

I am not the best gardener, I am not the best with roses, but I have been growing this for over eight years and it is always beautiful in my garden. In fact, I just saw a great way of presenting roses and am returning for more. The flowers look and smell both delicate and lovely. They are truly thornless, and never of concern when my children were active toddlers. The are perpetually blooming, and as long as there is enough sun, seem to grow very well. My father and grandparents grow the most beautiful roses, this lets me feel like I'm part of the family. Cannot recommend enough. (Posted on 2/10/2017)
