Mother of Pearl™

Type: Grandiflora

This rose was introduced in the United States in 2007 but has already been named the Best Shrub Rose by Birds and Bloom in 2014. Its winter hardiness and high resistance to black spot make this a popular rose for both cooler and hot and humid climates. This grandiflora starts with medium buds that open to display light pink blossoms with peachy overtones. The medium green, semi-glossy dense foliage are displayed on a tall and upright bush. The blooms are 3.5” in diameter on average and have medium to large, full (26-40) petals. They have a small cluster bloom form with one to four per stem. It blooms in flushes throughout the season and has a light, fresh fragrance.

Truly great rose!Review by Roger
From the view of someone growing this in Southern CA, it performs wonderfully with a minimum amount of sunlight. Beautiful blooms. Refined subtle coloring. Great repeat. Upright. Disease free since I've had it--about 3 years. A truly outstanding Hybrid Tea.
What's pictured is about the least flattering shot you could have chosen. They have a much more classic Hybrid Tea shape. (Posted on 3/31/2015)
