A delicate beautyReview by KLin

I first saw Perdita decades ago in the Huntington Gardens rose garden and thought she was the loveliest rose of all. The young plant I received from HR was healthy, and settled in to a large pot producing lots of new foliage. Perdita did not like this year's prolonged high desert summer heat (Zone 6-7), however, and waited until September to bloom. Her blooms were just as gorgeous as I remembered: blush peach pink buds, opening to perfectly formed cupped blooms of a pale apricot, paling to ivory cream. The cut flowers are very long lasting. I'll report back when I see how she winters over. Thanks to Heirloom Roses for making this beauty available. (Posted on 10/25/2018)
