Crayon Purple Roses!

I have 4 of these bushes and they're all doing quite well in Charlotte, NC. These roses open hot pink, but turn a crayon purple within a day. They're absolutely stunning! I took pictures with a royal purple crayon just to prove how purple they really are. I have several purple rose varieties in my garden, but these are my favorite purple.

A testimony of resilience!

I have purchased several Heirloom roses including Rhapsody in Blue. Shortly after we planted her, I had to have a major repair to my dominant rotator cuff and was out of "gardening commission" for several months. When I finally found poor Rhapsody, she was a tiny stump about 1" tall. I nearly cried! I dug her up and saw that her roots looked strong so I put her into a pot to give her a lot of TLC. Eventually, sure enough, new canes began to appear! I have replanted her in one of my raised rose beds and she is alive and well and blooming like crazy! Lest I should forget to say, this is only her second year.

Fabulous rose

I bought the tiny size pot and the first year the rose grew up quite well, but this spring it is just thriving. When available I love the smaller sizes because they root and adapt to the new soil so well. The scent is very nice and the pictures do not do justice both to how pretty the buds are before opening and the color.
