Also known by its French name, Soeur Emmanuelle, this brilliant rose shows off large, fully cupped blossoms in lovely shades of lilac-lavender and pink set against dark green foliage. As expected, she has a strong, rich fragrance of lavender, vanilla, and anise. Sister Emmanuelle won the 2017 Gifu award for Most Fragrant Rose and makes excellent arrangements. Enjoy her in the garden for profuse flushes throughout the season, or bring her inside and fill your home with her intoxicating scent.

Central Texas Gardener
Sister Emmanuelle

All the roses I've bought from Heirloom have been outstanding but this rose is STUNNING! With afternoon shade can handle the blistering 105 to 110 degree weather here in Central Texas Zone 8B and still bloom in flushes. Mid August another group if buds have formed, perfectly shaped, exquisitely colored (mine are more light pink), and strong sweet fragrance. Highly recommend!

Rewarding in any aspect!

What a wise choice to get Sister Emmanuelle! The description was exactly as I see it in my garden. Emmanuelle didn't have any difficulty making of Michigan its habitat. During our last harsh winter it came out of it as a winner. Bought it last year and it became quickly VERY dear to me, for it is a perfect rose in form, sturdiness, color(both foliage and blooms) and ultimately the fragrance. A personal note, if I may: can't stop admire its gorgeous appearance, take pictures of these perfect cupped blooms and enjoy its romantic perfume. Along with all of the above, grab a chair, a good book and forget yourself and the passing time in Sis. Emmanuelle's company. By all means, I recommend anyone should have this treat, please do! Rewarding indeed!

Picture does no justice

This is a beautiful rose, all around. The color is more subtle and draws you to her. She is disease free and I love this rose.

Outstanding blooms

I love this rose! I have a lot of roses, and this is one of my favorites. The bloom form is outstanding! Fragrance is lovely. I ordered two baby plants last fall, when there was a sale. The overwintered in huge 20”x20” pots (NC 7b). In late winter I moved one to the ground. Both are blooming beautifully this spring and summer!! Even the buds are beautiful. The blooms are packed with petals, and gorgeous. Has me looking for other Delbard roses! Highly recommend.

Love her!

Souer Emmanuelle is one of my favorite roses. I got two of them last fall, on sale. Both overwintered in pots (Zone 7b), and I planted one in the ground late winter. Both are blooming like crazy! And have nice growth. Beautiful bloom form, and lovely fragrance. She is one of my favorites! She’s great in the vase too!
