I absolutely love the vibrant orange, red, and magenta stripes of Tawny Tiger - it looks like hot lava! It contrasts nicely with the many peachy colored roses in my Pacific Northwest garden, such Just Joey, Princess Charlene de Monaco, Abraham Darby, Evelyn, etc. It blooms regularly and is very healthy, even though I keep it in small pot, in the shade, near other roses with powdery mildew and black spot. This is a special one - if you're on the fence give it a try!

From the day I received this champion little rose about 2 months ago, it has exhibited enthusiastic growth and continual bloom. Even though it had to stay in it's small one gallon pot for several hot, late spring weeks due to a lagging construction project, it never faltered or looked back. In my Zone 7 high desert garden, it's delightful single flowers open a bright tangerine with subtle striping, sometimes darker, sometimes lighter. Its repeat is so quick that before it's time to deadhead a spent bloom, there is already sturdy, red-tinged new growth on it's way. Of all the healthy and beautiful roses I have bought from Heirloom, this has been the fastest growing and most floriferous. I have placed it next to Pink Home Run, and the juxtaposition of the hot pink with the bright orange single flowers is stunning! This is a fantastic rose that deserves wider recognition. Do not hesitate to order.

It is extremely rare for me ever to have big problems with a rose from Heirloom ( not something I can say about other rose suppliers). I ordered this rose once and it died and Heirloom replaced it. It died again. My next door neighbor ordered it last year and it died again. Perhaps it can’t handle Zone 5B weather or such acid soil. I don’t know but buyer beware!
