Beautiful rose. It was packed very well. Bloomed within a couple weeks.

I think I've commented before on how South Coastal Texas isn't favorable toward purple roses, although I've amended my stance a bit toward some favorites. My Ebb Tides blooms true purple in early Spring and late Fall when it's cooler (and a gorgeous magenta in warmer weather) and Plum Perfect has proven a delightful surprise, blooming true to its photos. Fragrant Plum produces gigantic, beautiful deep pink blooms with an intense fragrance, but no purple.

Violet's Pride hasn't bloomed purple at all, but I'm not complaining. She's bloomed a gorgeous silvery color with an overlay of light pinkish-lilac that's absolutely stunning! I never want her to lose that color. It's so beautiful, I've never seen it before. I'm terrified it will change color as it matures like some of my roses have. Some roses don't bloom their advertised color until they've matured to three years or so. But, I want my Violet's Pride to keep this subdued silvery-lilac color forever! I loved her advertised color, but I love this initial presentation of it much, much more. This is her first year, so I really have no idea what color she'll eventually settle on. Like I said, Coatal Texas isn't ideal for purple roses, so she's only my fourth among my 90+ roses. I'm so happy I bought this beauty, whatever form she finally takes on. It's been worth it having a year of her ethereal loveliness. I look forward to seeing what she has in store in the future.

I'm new to roses this year, and Violet's Pride has become my surprise favorite. She was planted in July, two months after most of my other Heirloom roses. Now at the end of the season, she is without doubt my strongest performer by miles! The fragrance is very strong old rose, the foliage is healthy and vibrant, and the whole plant is absolutely covered in gorgeous, perfectly formed flowers. My only sadness is some blooms tend to shatter after a few days on the plant or in a vase while others last a week. I think it may be related to the summer heat. Do yourself a favor and get this rose! I just planted a Vanessa Bell next to her and can't wait to see the colors complement each other next year. Get this rose!

Planted rose on September 3, green leaves sprouted the first week, and even produced one tiny fragrant bloom. Now, into its 4th week there are 4 buds waiting to open. Love, love, love. 💕

I swear, thi rose looks like you went to an expensive silk flower shop & bought a dozen PERFECT blooms to stick into an impossible healthy gree bush for a photo shoot. This is a fabulous rose which you should have even if you hate violet (the color; no one could hate Maggie Smith!). It is a true, true violet, fades onlt slightly, starts as a perfect pointed hybrid tea-type bud, expands eventually to a gorgeous, full, domed rose that really cannot be believed. All this, & a wonderful fragrance? AND it's crazy strong? Got her in June, she did the usual Heirloom boogie where the leaves exploded, & is now, in September, on her SECOND flush---I am not joking, she's 18 inches tall & has the 5 most perfect roses you've ever seen. I am in love with Violet!
