Type: Climbing Roses

This very fragrant climbing rose has very double petal count strong pink blooms in clusters of 6 to 8 flowers among dark green shining foliage. If you dream of decorating your home with fresh, fragrant roses, you should grow Laguna Rose in your garden. Well-balanced and captivating, this rose has a sweet scent, a passionate combination of fresh lemon, which develops into the flavor of ripe flowers of lemongrass. Fruity litchi comes up on a bed of rose geranium and strong aspects of rose. Earthy notes, like patchouli, give the scent its ripe, full-bodied and classic character.

I have owned this rose for several years. She is huge-more what I would call a rambler. She has a wonderful spring bloom but when the temps heat up, I don't see any more blooms until it cools down in the fall. I would not call her a continual rebloomer but I live in the south and it will get 100 degrees in the summer. She is very disease resistant and while my other roses will get a touch of blackspot, she never suffers. (Posted on 5/3/2017)
Can't go Wrong with Laguna!Review by Elise
I planted 2 of these in our local park here, near a stone wall. It has outperformed every other rose there--extremely healthy, vigorous and a heavy bloomer. It got up to a large size in a short time. It hardly gets any die back after a cold winter---very hardy-- zone 5b or 6a around here. It's never had any black spot. When I volunteer working there, I get asked about it often.
