Amazing color, weathered my dry Colorado winter, planted facing southeast against the house. Good fragrance also. (Posted on 6/13/2017)
More of a rapid repeat bloomer than a continual bloomer but delightful fragranceReview by CharMeck rose lover

I have a couple of these in my North Carolina garden. The bushes have no fungal problems while some of my drift roses get some powdery mildew and my bourbon roses get black spot. The canes are arching and if you have the space and the patience for it, pinning them down horizontally can produce some flower spurs midway along the canes rather than just at the tips. The flowers are very full and do not fade under the sun, having a purplish cast to the outer petals on mature blooms. Blooms in the heat of summer are a bit smaller than in cooler weather. The fragrance has a definite fruitiness as well as classic rose smell. The plant is extremely thorny and the flowers fall apart within a day or two of cutting, so it does not make a good cut flower. Blooms left on the bush can last a long time, which is good since they are not produced in abundance and it may be a couple weeks to a month between flushes. It is best near a patio where the fragrance can waft a bit when conditions are just right and one of mine does well next to my patio in filtered light under a crape myrtle while the other remains in full sun.
