There are pros and cons to this rose. The pros are that it has a very unique color. I can't stop looking at it when it blooms! It's very healthy and the flowers stick around a while after they bloom. The cons are that it has no scent. In the description it says lightly fragrant, but mine has no smell at all. Also, I must fertilize this rose 3-4 times as much as the others or the flowers won't open. They will just rot. (The customer service here told me to fertilize more) In addition, I had to wait over 2 years on the waiting list to get this rose.

I’m in zone 9, I planted this beauty on 6/28 of this year…it’s in a container on my back patio until I can move it to the ground next spring.
All I can say is it has done nothing but dazzle me! I had two blooms within weeks of planting and it has just been nonstop. It currently has 17 buds on it. No joke!! It’s amazing! Once I get it in it’s permanent spot in the ground, I’m thinking it’s just going to explode. 💚💚💚

I’m still guarding this beauty. I’m looking forward to seeing the first bloom this coming week. It’s seem not to be thriving at first bought all the needed fertilizer and mint soil from your site. It’s sitting in a sunny location. Will share the one bud once it opens.

I’m zone 5. I put it in a pot to bring in during colder months. It bloomed within two weeks of planting it, and has the most beautiful foliage of all the new roses in my garden. It hasn’t gotten black spot like a couple of my others have, but in the pot I can move it out of undesirable conditions. The blooms seem to last forever and open so prettily. It seems to always have at least one (usually two) blooms on it, still in her first year. Unfortunately the squirrels have started stealing the buds. I waited years to get this rose! I’m so glad it’s finally part of my garden. Very light scent, but the color is so unique it more than makes up for it.

I love everything about this rose in concept. I am hoping in the next few years it will become more established, and outgrow some of the issues I’ve had with it. The new growth erupts crinkled and deformed. It’s the only rose in my yard that develops powdery mildew. It grows extremely slowly. It is surrounded by robust healthy roses, and my growing conditions should be ideal, but it doesn’t seem to be thriving. The color is great, and adds a lot of interest to bouquets. I am just crossing my fingers that next year it will have a better growing season.
