I ordered this because it’s color also because we are moving to Montana and needed tougher roses to handle the cold weather.
I had them ( I order three kinds at once.) delivered to Utah and planted them into growing beds. About two weeks later I moved them to our new home in Montana giving water the day we arrived and the next day before we left.
About one month later, we went to our home in Montana to work on some stuff. She was found covered with snow with a small red rose greeting us happily!
She shows me that I have made a great decision to order her!!!!!

Living in zone 5, I got tired of my roses coming back from the roots and loosing my original tea roses. Already have blooms on this rose planted about a month ago. Hope it survives the winter! Very happy so far!

Received one Smokin Hot rose in June and it has had 3 blooms open and others waiting. It is still small and the blooms are small at this point, but I see progress for one year growth. It is orange and I imagine I will see larger blooms as it matures. So this one is doing great. I ordered a second one and received it the end of June. 2023. This one is still small but looks good with a few buds and nice foliage. Looking forward to seeing them mature.

Planted this one April 2016. At one point in June/July it had 8 open roses on it, ended up about 3-4' by fall, Non stop , and this was the first season! I did prep the soil well, fert weekly and water as needed.
No leaf diseases to speak of here in coastal southern Delaware. Very hot , humid summer, lots of rain. Love the color!

This is the first of my roses that my boyfriend complimented saying "that one's nice, it's really bright". I don't know what "smoky overtones" means, but the entire flower is an extreme red-orange. If it was by itself I'd probably call it incredibly bright red but next to my standard red roses it has a orange tint to it. If you're wanting a garden of beautiful bright flowers I'd most definitely choose this one as your red. I don't blame them for the color being off, it's so bright that even with professional photography equipment I've had trouble getting the color to come out correctly.

Ironically I bought it because I love the way the bloom fades. Once it loses its color on the bush it turns into pastel pink with the perfect shape of whipped cream and looks great in flower arrangements with other pink, purple and, reds (though I can't stand it next to the fresh roses of the same bush, I don't like the super bright red-orange with pastel pink).
