James Galway is the versatile Shrub or Climbing Rose you’ve dreamed of. David Austin describes him as "A superb large shrub with long, slightly arching, almost thorn-less growth". James Galway is a tough, disease-free rose that is excellent for the back of a mixed border and can also be grown as a Climber topping out around 12’. His flowers are 4" across and full with over 100 petals shading to pale pink at the edges. He is a continuous bloomer with a delicious, old rose fragrance. Give James Galway space and light and he will take off! Or keep him tidy and contained for an excellent, upright growing Shrub.

Wishes met

Heirloom Roses are SO healthy. Placed three along 8' x 12' foot trellis this summer to create wall between planned pergola and raised bed vegetables. Each has trebled in size and bloomed, multiple blooms. Really beautiful. Pergola installed in November and while growth ongoing, my wish for a beautiful living wall of roses is being met.

Beautiful buds

I planted this rose on St Paddy's Day, ( I thought it was appropriate) it's mid-November now and it's still blooming and has grown up to four feet on a trellis. It gets morning sun this time of year, but it just keeps growing. It's a beautiful rose. I'm very happy with it. No bugs, no issues. Blooms are not huge, about 3" across. Hoping for it to reach the top of the arch by next summer at this rate. I'm in zone 9B.

amazing

I bought this rose three weeks ago. It came very well packaged and secure. After being in the ground for only a week, I'm amazed at how much it has already grown. I even noticed a bud on it yesterday. It looks very healthy and is growing very fast. I wish I could attach a picture. Can't wait to see what she looks like in the upcoming weeks and months.

Unbelievable

I received two of these roses in early June and had to leave them in their pots for a few weeks. I finally got them in the ground in late June. Now it is early September and they have grown an unbelievable amount. One is over 4 foot and the other is over 5 foot tall. Many beautiful roses too. I never expected such growth for the first year. I don’t see any disease on them which is another plus. My trellis will be covered much sooner than I expected. You can’t go wrong with this rose.
