Moje Hammarberg is an excellent Rugosa, though widely unknown in the rose world. His large, violet-crimson, double blooms have a wonderfully strong fragrance and, like many rugosas, will produce both hips and blooms simultaneously in late summer. Moje Hammarberg is a repeat bloomer with strong disease resistance in zones 3-9.

Moje Rugosa Rose

Received this rose a couple of months ago and it has leafed out beautifully. Have not gotten any flowers yet up I expect by sometime in September. I will let you know how it goes and thank you for a great plant. I will definitely order from you again soon.

Beautiful and hardy

I don’t take good care of my roses but this one is amazing. Living and blooming in spite of me. Highly recommend.

Vigorous, wonderful, deeply scented

I remember this rose from my grandmother's garden in Chicago. Now I'm in South Carolina, zone 7B, and it's just as prolific, hardy and wonderful here! This is my bush's second year and it's growing great and covered with blooms. The petals are PERFECT for drying, literally holding their fragrance for years. I adore this rose. The crazy wildly thorny stems are of interest as well. They look like something out of a sci fi movie!

Large clusters of blooms AND rose hips!

I look for hardy roses that are continually in bloom and fragrant. Check

Also looking for roses that produce large tasty rose hips. Check.

Stumbled across the description for Moje Hammarberg while I was looking through the rugosa roses. Purported to fruit with large hips that taste like plums! I counted 21 potential rose hips on the shrub in my garden this morning in one bloom cluster! Looking forward to next season's harvest!

This is a beautiful, hardy rose that produces some of the most nutritious and delicious fruit on earth.

My First Rose Bush

I have grown this rose or seen this rose growing for 75 years. I live in Zone 5 - southern New Hampshire - and ever since I was a 4 years old, I remember this rose growing beside
my great grandmother's kitchen steps. I have cuttings growing in my own yard now and
I have given many cuttings to friends and family. It is extremely hardy, has a lovely vase
growing form, and constantly blooms from June to October.
