Scentimental is a beautiful, striped rose with burgundy-red 40+ petals swirled with creamy-white. Her large, fully double 4” blooms have an old-fashioned appearance and a strong, sweet and spicy fragrance. Each petal has unique patterns. Some are burgundy splashed white; some more cream swirled with red. Scentimental is a continuous blooming plant that is densely covered with dark green, leathery foliage. She is a great choice for dried petals too

Delightfully Scented & Delicious

I live in the Macungie area of Pennsylvania (zone 7A), and in the many years we’ve been living here (8+ years), this rose bush has been around (it came with the house, so we don’t exactly know how old our rose bushes are).

This one has been through some brutal cold snaps and some hot, sticky, humid weather. It wasn’t until last year that my grandmother and I started giving it attention, along with another Hybrid Tea Rose that’s a solid yellow (still trying to figure out that one’s name).

I ended up playing around with an idea of eating rose petals when Grams and I got into that discussion one day, and after researching that all 150 varieties are actually edible (provided they’re not sprayed with toxic pesticides), I tried it, and oh my my!

The petals to this rose are so, so lovely, delicate, and velvety in the mouth. It’s a wonderful, luxurious feeling that overwhelms the senses of taste and smell. Now, Grams and I are actually invested in taking care of our roses, and buying a half dozen more of different kinds.

I will say that this lovely rose does have a tendency to get some black spotting on it during the high heat and humid days but with proper, timely treatment and careful attention, she flourishes incredibly well.

Sadly, my area is infested with an invasive species known as the spotted lantern fly, and they are just DRAWN to this rose. So, I’m still researching how best to keep those buggies off my rose babies with ways that are not toxic for human consumption.

Quick to bloom

I received my rose bush on the first of June. I was quite pleased to discover it already had leaves. I planted it the same day and not quite three weeks later it already has a bloom on it! I'm very pleased. I hope it continues to grow well over the rest of the season~

Hardy Rose Bush

We are in New Mexico zone 7b and there has been a long drought. This bush was almost 6ft high when we bought our house and badly neglected (no pruning, fertilizer, water or care). It had a few blooms in the fall but that was it. We fertilized in the fall, pruned it in February and it is coming back like gang busters. Happy to have found the tag on the bush and to know it's an Heirloom floribunda. Looking forward to beautiful roses.

Nice but !!

This rose grew well and bloomed the first year in the ground smells and looked great. But beware of the hardiness . I’m in zone 6 this is rated zone 5 and even though I had it protected all winter it died back all the way to the ground.
