I bought this rose about 2 months ago and it’s beautiful. I am just starting to see several buds. I am excited to see this rose bloom, great addition to my garden.

Got this weeks ago..have been watering did not get to plant till yesterday because of illness. It started putting out leaves and growing and there are buds in it already while still in shipping pot!!
Can’t wait to see it in its full glory.

My first David Austin Rose! My son got this for me as a Xmas present and I received it in the spring 2023. I planted it in a raised bed, and I used Mycorrhizal Fungi and manure. This rose took off! I don't have great luck with roses, so I was shocked with this. The rose is so far a small plant, after all I have only had it a few months, but full of buds, and I got my first rose yesterday. The cabbage like flower is gorgeous and the scent is heaven! I am so happy with this. I am in Nevada and so far it's been a very mild summer, so I will probably have to protect it from the sun, but whatever it takes I will do. So far it's been easy and I love it!

I bought this rose several years ago directly from David Austin Roses. I planted it in a spot that gets partial shade in the mornings, full sun later in the afternoon, and shade again in the evenings. I live in Northern Colorado, squarely in zone 5b. We had a very cold winter in 2022/23. Some of the newer roses I planted struggled. Not CD. This year he is putting off long canes and has full, fat buds. The blooms themselves are fragrant and delicate. I do feed monthly in the growing season with Rosetone organic fertilizer. It's a gorgeous rose. Given the right conditions, it will flourish for you year after year.

I’m in zone 9a and it gets hot and humid. I’ve only had mine in ground a few weeks but it’s given me 3 blooms so far. They’re small (maybe 2.5 to 3 inches) and they are definitely not yellow. You’ll see yellow coloring on the bud and when it opens, the center can be yellow-ish, but it blooms more of an apricot here. I double checked with other rose growers in my city (Houston, Texas) and they all report the same. Despite the small size, they’re full (though it does wilt once the sun hits in full force) and smell absolutely wonderful. I wanted a pale yellow rose, but I’m still pleased with my Charles Darwin. I hope next year will yield larger blooms earlier before the stifling heat arrives. Some leaf discoloration after a rainy 2 weeks.
