Fabulous rose!

Oklahoma rose is vigorous, and hold roses on strong upward stems. Oklahoma did very well, growing fast and blossoming generously. Blossoms last and the color doesn’t fade away. A sweet fragrance completes the portrait of this very satisfying rose.

Classic Hybrid Tea, Long Stems

Being from Oklahoma, I'm a bit partial to this rose, but for good reasons. If you look at a mature specimen, everything about it says 'hybrid tea'. It's upright, about 5 feet, with blooms one-to-a-stem on long stems and with classic hybrid tea form.
The color is not black at all, but a beautiful dark maroon-red. This productive and vigorous rose has excellent hybrid tea form and a very strong, sweet, old rose fragrance. It's highly rated by the ARS and easy to see why. It's essential for your cutting garden; I've cut a stem nearly 3 feet long once! It's now our official state flower, too. I planted 5 new ones together and can't wait to watch them mature.
It's a magical experience to watch as the dark red buds plump up and spiral open. A must-have hybrid tea for sure!!

Love my Oklahoma roses

My two Oklahoma roses arrived carefully packaged and healthy. I replanted them in pots so I could take better care of them in the heat of this summer. Both will be blooming in a few days. No sign of any problems.
I am so happy to have these roses after a long search. A pleasure to deal with Heirloom Roses.

Happy Oklahoma Rose customer

My order of 2 Oklahoma Roses arrived as per your statement. Both are growing and looking very healthy. I was so happy they didn't arrive bare rooted like one I ordered from another company last year - it died.
I still find it hard to use your email - not user friendly - hard to leave you a message.

Will to survive

While on vacation a relative showed me this rose and told this story. An abandoned car had sat there for many days when they decided to open the trunk and there was this Oklahoma Rose which had received no water for a couple of weeks. It still showed green. He took it home and put in the yard only to have the deer eat it down to about 6 inches with part of one leaf left. He put water to it and it grew and I now have a 5 ft plant with one beautiful flower and 5 buds. I will add this orphan to my 58 rose collection and it will receive TLC. Anything that wants to survive that much deserves all the best.
