Baron Girod de L’Ain is a lovely Hybrid Perpetual Rose with a strong fragrance coming from a repeat blooming rose. He can bloom in either full sun or partial shade but prefers cooler regions. His large, full blooms have 26-40 petals in beautiful ruffles. Plant Baron Girod de L’Ain away from pathways as he can be quite thorny.

Lovely Blooms

This is the second season for Baron Girod in my garden. He was a little slow to bloom, but his blooms are spectacular. They look just like the photos here! He gets a little BS in my zone 7b garden, but is mostly clean. Upright habit. He’s still on the smaller side, maybe 2’ x 2’, but I’m hoping he’ll “leap” next year. Lovely rose!
